Intramural After-School Game Procedures

First, thank you for allowing your child to take part in our intramural program. This is something our 5th and 6th grade students look forward to every year, and we are grateful you made the commitment to allow your child to participate.
In order to ensure the safety of our campus and all students, please read and follow the below procedures for after school intramural games:
After parking, please proceed to the back gate (past the sunroom and auditorium). Enter through the back gate and then cross the field to enter the gym through the double glass doors. See attached map. Signage will also be provided on the bus ramp.
**Parents will not be allowed to enter through the front office or any other side doors to enter the building.**
Please be sure to bring your ID (LA Wallet accepted) as you will need it to check your child out of the game.
There will be a teacher set up at a table upon entering the gym. After each game, ALL intramural players must be signed out by an adult on the child’s emergency card. Students will not be released to adults not on the emergency card. Instead, parents/guardians will be called to come pick the student up.
Players will be allowed to stay after school for the games, but must be picked up on time by an adult on the emergency card.
The games are at 4:15, 4:45, and 5:15 and are 25 minutes long. All players need to be picked up by 5:45 PM. Please ensure you are on time to pick your student up. Failure to pick your student up on time will result in your student not being able to participate in after school intramural sports.
Siblings of players will not be allowed to stay after school to watch the games or enter the gym without an adult. There is no duty teacher assigned or available to watch siblings before or during the games. Therefore, there must be a parent or guardian present to supervise siblings. If you need to change transportation for siblings due to intramurals, send a handwritten note to the teacher of siblings by Monday morning (Sept. 25th) indicating intramurals as the reason. Please use the next couple of days to ensure you have a plan for your family before Monday, September 25th (the first day of after school intramural games).
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation to follow these few simple steps to help guarantee the safety of our campus and students.

Player must be putting their best effort in completing all assignments to participate.
Player must have at least a 1.5 GPA to continue to play intramurals (same as high school eligibility).
Player will sit out if not completing their assignments.
Removed from that intramural sport if player has to sit out 3 times for missed assignments.

3 Strike Rule
- A player will be suspended one game for the first Minor Infraction (Strike 1).
- A player will be suspended again from that intramural sport for the 2nd Minor Infraction (Strike2).
- A player will be removed from intramurals for the 3rd Minor Infraction or the 1st Major Infraction (Strike 3).
