School uniforms are required of all Mayfield students.

Bottoms: Tan Khaki Shorts, skirts, skorts, jumpers, and pants. Bottoms must be fingertip length, with no frayed hems or holes.

Tops: Solid Light Blue or Gray Collared Shirts Collared or polo style shirts with or without the MFE logo, long or short sleeve. Spirit shirt may also be worn as a uniform shirt on Fridays.

Outerwear All outwear is allowed as long as it is not offensive. A uniform shirt must be worn under all hoodies and jackets at all times including MFE outwear. Unreasonably oversized pullover jackets and sweatshirts are not allowed. Sweatshirts and jackets with names and logos from other local schools will not be permitted. Hoods are not to be worn in the school building.

All hats, caps, bandanas, stocking caps, hoods, etc. are banned from the school campus during school hours. Please visit the St. Tammany Parish website for more information on dress code policies.

Dresscode Violations:
1st offense- recorded in spreadsheet; parent contacted
2nd offense- student sent to office; parent contacted; ISS until change of clothes brought
3rd offense- student sent to office; 1 day ISS; parent contacted
4th offense- Administrative decision; ranging from multi day ISS to OSS

Use JPAMS to check your child's grades. Passwords are given to parents and guardians at the start of school. Contact the office at 985-643-5693 if you have difficulty accessing JPAMS.

Interim Reports are issued at midpoint during each grading period to inform parents of their child's progress. 

Report Cards are issued to students in Grades 1-6 each quarter. Kindergarten students will receive reports beginning with the second grading period.

Students riding in cars must be picked up or dropped off at the car ramp. Car ramp will open in the morning at 8:25 a.m. and will close at 8:55 a.m. when the first bell rings. For safety reasons, students are not allowed on campus before 8:25 a.m. because teachers will not be on duty until that time. All students going home by car should be picked up no later than 4:25 p.m.

Only adults on the emergency card will be allowed to pick students up in the carline.
The hot pink Mayfield Elementary car tags need to be visible in the front window of the car. If this car tag is not visible, you will be asked to pull past spot number one so your ID can be checked against the emergency card.  After your ID is checked, your student(s) will then be called outside to meet you. Homemade car tags will not be allowed. If you have a homemade car tag , it will be treated as no tag and you will be asked to pull up past spot number one to have your ID checked. If you need car tags, please send a handwritten note in your child’s folder or an email to your child’s teacher letting them know so more can be sent home. You can also stop by the front office to pick one up. These procedures are being put into place to ensure all students are being released to the proper adults. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation on this matter. Together we can keep our Mayfield family safe!
