District Performance Score Increases
The St. Tammany Parish Public School System (STPPS) increased its District Performance Score by a full point in the latest Louisiana Department of Education Performance Scores released on November 13th, 2023. STPPS grew from 83.5 to 84.5 and received a “B” letter grade from the state.
Overall, 34 of 55 STPPS schools grew school performance scores with 11 schools increasing the score by five points or more. The district saw the percentage of students who are proficient in math and science increase by four points and the percentage of students who are proficient in English Language Arts (ELA) and Social Studies increase by one point.
“This increase shows that our school system is continuing on an upward trend, and to see a full point increase for a district our size is significant,” said Superintendent Frank Jabbia. “I want to thank our educators who are working hard to ensure that STPPS students are successfully prepared for the future. It’s exciting to see the state grading system reflect the tremendous efforts of our employees and students.”
